As the autumn approaches Africa awaits a historic moment which could be the turning point in its development.
The low cost travel airline called Fastjet, backed by the Easyjet founder, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, is now coming to the continent.
With a partnership that also includes Lonhro and Rubicon Diversified Investments, the project aims to provide a cheap alternative means of travel to many Africans flying cross-border.
Now, thanks to the rises in investment and GDP growth, Africa presents a potentially huge market that also promises to further increase business, tourism and economic development on the continent.
The new airline will start flying to Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Angola and hopes to expand to more African destinations in the future.
