“Ma dengn”, in the local Kuranko language, means “let’s meet” or “let’s get together”… The Ma dengn Festival, the first-ever beach festival in the country, annually showcases the best of Sierra Leone’s rich culture through music, dance, fashion, literature, arts and crafts, cuisine…

The event, now in its 4th year, is a big attraction for the season’s visiting diaspora and has all the potential to become an internationally recognised festival.

Part I: Presentation, kids zone, arts and crafts, cultural dancing and drumming by Sierra Leone National Dance Troupe, music by Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars.

Part II: Women’s and kids fashion by Jenneh Amara-Bangali, men’s fashion by George Hamilton, music by Azania, Innocent & C Bolt.

Part III: Women’s fashion by Maryzo Designs, music by Nasser Ayoub, Rhage, Esther Sesay, Mr. 1, Ragga Spice & Don Bay BuBu Band.
